The Advent Annual Fund is Advent’s top fundraising priority. Gifts to the annual fund provide the critical, current-use, and unrestricted dollars the School needs to sustain its programs and facility. The Annual Fund also supports faculty salaries and professional development. Giving at every level is important to the sustainability of the School.
Each year the School strives for 100 percent participation from the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and current parent communities. Parent participation in the Annual Fund makes an enormous impact on each student’s experience and symbolizes the collective investment in the School’s excellence. Support for the Annual Fund is renewed each year as contributions are put to work immediately during the current academic year. The Annual Fund supports four key areas:
Students: A strong Annual Fund allows the School to provide an exceptional education experience by supporting programs and providing financial assistance to students with demonstrated need.
Faculty: With a robust Annual Fund, the School is able to recruit and retain high-quality teachers by offering competitive salaries and benefit packages, along with enriching professional development opportunities.
Facilities: The Annual Fund helps maintain our historical home and provides the resources needed to make improvements.
Area of greatest need: A strong Annual Fund allows the School to allocate funds where they are most needed at any time.
Contributions to the Annual Fund also cover approximately 8% of the School’s yearly operating budget.
Advent receives gifts that range from $5 to $50,000. Each constituent contributes what they can afford, and each gift has an impact. The School asks that all families with the means to do so give the gap, which is $2,500 per student.
Who contributes to the Annual Fund?
The School receives gifts from current parents; members of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board; faculty and staff; grandparents; friends of the School; community partners; alumni; and parents of alumni.
