The Tile Project is Complete!
We are so excited about the new display at the entrance to Brimmer Street! The bright colors and imaginative designs on the glazed tiles greet friends when they enter the buildings. Advent families created these tiles last spring by painting symbols representing their family and their connection to Advent and its mission.
The Tile Project began as a way to represent The Advent School Piazza physically. In Reggio Emilia, Italy, the piazza is a public space central to each school. It is a democratic space for dialogue, encounters, and relationship building for all community members.
The School created the Advent Piazza to stay connected. Stay tuned for some exciting upcoming Piazza events - in person and virtual! Learn more about the Advent Piazza here.
A special thanks to Rainbows Pottery in Beacon Hill for providing Advent with tiles and painting kits and firing the finished pieces.
