Showcasing our Student’s Work

This week, both Fourth and Sixth Grade classrooms welcomed families to campus to see projects they had recently finished. After two years without visitors in our buildings, it was wonderful to have families engaged with their child's classroom.

Fourth Graders shared projects from their science and art classes, including 3D-printed artifacts, dioramas, and stratigraphy posters. Their projects connect to the Fourth Grade integrated thematic study of Ancient Civilizations. Following their field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts, students discussed museum accessibility and artifact preservation. They asked questions such as:

  • How could we make the process of digging up artifacts less destructive? How can technology help?

  • How do we see environments changing over time?

  • What features can make museums more accessible?

Sixth Grade students also welcomed families to see their Light Museum.

Students chose their project ideas inspired by our visit to the Light exhibit at the Museum of Science. Projects include exploring bioluminescence, blue light, holographic images, camera obscura, and more! You'll also see some photos students took with pinhole cameras they constructed themselves.
