Fundamental Values of The Reggio Emilia Approach

Saturday, March 30
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Advent School, 15 Brimmer St. Boston, MA, 02108

During this day-long introductory workshop, you’ll spend time in a Reggio-inspired school, learn about the fundamental values and practices of the Reggio Emilia Approach, and engage in a material exploration. This workshop will highlight how the principles and practices of the schools in Reggio Emilia, Italy, are implemented with toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children. Examples of emergent investigations with children in U.S. contexts demonstrates how one can draw inspiration from the schools in Reggio Emilia. This workshop is ideal for educators who are new to the Reggio Emilia Approach.

The registration fee of $150 includes lunch and two books: Indications: Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and Brick by Brick: The History of the “XXV Aprile” People’s Nursery School of Villa Cella.
