21 May #BostonDayofCommunityWellness
The Boston Day of Community Wellness, planned and organized by the Fifth and Sixth Grade Yoga & Mindfulness students at The Advent School, is a call to relaxation for all Boston residents. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 3, from 11 to 11:30 a.m.
Marlene Boyette, Advent’s Yoga & Mindfulness teacher, will lead the session. This opportunity is for everyone to come together, to connect, center, and ground ourselves through stress-relieving techniques, such as Intentional Calming Breath, Restorative Movement & Mindful Stillness/Meditation, bringing a sense of much needed calm to our broader community.
Advent students study yoga and mindfulness in grades ECC (pre-Kindergarten) through Sixth Grade. In this video, students share what their yoga and mindfulness practice means for them.
The event is free and open to everyone! Visit our event page on Eventbrite to register for the event. A Zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to the event, so be sure to sign up on Eventbrite.
