07 Feb Make Way for Advent!
Save the date of Friday, March 23, 2018 for the Spring Benefit!
This year, we have chosen the theme “Make Way for Advent,” after the classic Boston-based children’s book “Make Way for Ducklings” by Robert McCloskey. The event will be a celebration of our innovative school and the impact that students, teachers, and families make in the community and beyond.
Much like the ducklings, our Advent students learn to navigate their way through school, to broaden their scope to the city of Boston, and to spread the values of social justice and community building.
Advent faculty travel the world to further develop a fresh and creative program and interweave their discoveries into an intentional Advent curriculum with project-based learning at the forefront.
Advent parents steer their ducklings through the very first nervous days of ECC and Kindergarten to the zest of the middle grades, when our children’s eyes open with curiosity and wonder, and finally to the proud days of Sixth Grade, when students display their independence and confidence to the community at large.
