Support Advent’s Mission

The Advent School strives to create a culture of engagement where each member contributes—by volunteering or donating funds, for example–at their capacity. As with most independent schools, tuition revenue alone does not cover the whole cost of educating each student. The Advent School is a gift-supported institution and relies on charitable giving and volunteerism to sustain the financial health and vitality of our School.

The Advent Annual Fund

The Advent Annual Fund is Advent’s top fundraising priority. Gifts to the annual fund provide the critical, current-use, and unrestricted dollars the School needs to sustain its programs and facility. The Annual Fund also supports faculty salaries and professional development. Giving at every level is important to the sustainability of the School.

Each year the School strives for 100 percent participation from the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and current parent communities. Parent participation in the Annual Fund makes an enormous impact on each student’s experience and symbolizes the collective investment in the School’s excellence.

How much should I donate?

Advent receives gifts that range from $5 to $50,000. Each constituent contributes what they can afford, and each gift has an impact. The School asks that all families with the means to do so give the gap, which is $2,500 per student.

Who contributes to the Annual Fund?

The School receives gifts from current parents; members of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board; faculty and staff; grandparents; friends of the School; community partners; alumni; and parents of alumni.

Can I pay over time?

Yes! You have the option to pay in installments when you give online. Please contact Abigail Hayhurst, Director of Advancement, to set up pledge payments by check.
