Advent’s After-School Program is more than just a place to go or an extension of the school day: it’s a unique opportunity for Advent students to dive into new activities and topics, make friends, and explore new opportunities.
Students enroll in one or more days a week for the trimester or school year, with several activity/course options on each day. Each day consists of a chosen course, snack, and recess, as well as a fun group activity. From 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. students who need additional aftercare can join our Late Club program.
After-School courses include academic enrichment programs, sports and games, fine arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), arts and crafts, study groups, open play opportunities, and much more. We also offer opportunities for private lessons in musical instruments and language.
During February and April vacations (Tuesday-Friday) and selected days off throughout the year, the After-School Education team offers ADVENTures programming–day-long, thematic adventures that explore fun, kid-friendly topics. Students spend part of the day with similarly-aged peers and we combine structured activities and investigations with off-site visits, recess time, and less-structured fun.
Space is limited for ADVENTures. Registration information is typically sent to parents about a month in advance.
