Teacher Recommendation & School Report Deadline
All forms are due by Sunday, January 15, 2017. The Teacher Recommendation Form is available online through your Ravenna account. You will be prompted to input an email address for your child’s teacher. If you are not completing the online application, please contact Nora Goddard, Director of Admission and Next Schools for paper copies of the Teacher Recommendation Form.
Report cards or progress notes can be uploaded directly to Ravenna by your child’s current school or sent directly to Advent’s Office of Admission.
Screening sessions for pre-Kindergarten (Early Childhood Center) and Kindergarten applicants will be scheduled upon receipt of your application. These screenings provide the opportunity for us to work one-to-one with your child to better understand him or her as a learner. Screening sessions are held in the morning and last approximately 30 minutes.
Applicant Classroom Visits
The visit day for applicants to pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten is Saturday, January 28, 2017. A specific time will be scheduled upon receipt of your application.
Upon receipt of your application, we will contact you to schedule a mutually convenient classroom visit. First and Second Grade applicants visit for half a day and Third through Sixth Grade applicants visit for the whole school day.
Advent requires the Parent Financial Statement submitted online to the School and Student Service at sss.nais.org, copies of most recent (2016) Federal Income Tax Returns, year-end pay stubs, and 1099/W2s be submitted to: The Advent School, Attention Office of Admission. The Financial Aid application deadline is Friday, February 10, 2017.
Decisions are mailed home to families on Friday, March 10, 2017. This date is determined by AISNE member schools.
For applications received after January 15, 2017, Admission decisions will be made pending available enrollment within the applicant’s grade. Decisions will be mailed home once all requirements are completed and reviewed, on a rolling basis.
