18 May The Advent Book Fair
Experience Advent’s amazing community at the Advent Book Fair! Come to the SMART Lab on Saturday, May 21 for a day dedicated to the love of reading and books. Please contact Abigail Grenon, Director of Communication, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (617) 742-0520 x 54 with any questions.
We are welcoming back Porter Square Books to the Fair. Porter Square Books will be selling a variety of titles for the whole family inside the SMART Lab. Used book titles for all ages will be sold outside in the parking lot.
Come one, come all! Try your luck at cornhole or on the mini putting green. There will be a photobooth, facepainting, and a dance activity by Urbanity. Events are happening throughout the day!
Students can bring their completed and signed Advent Read-A-Thon slip to the Spanish room. A volunteer will be on hand to take their slip and let the student pick their prize.
Big Daddy Hotdogs and B. Good will be on hand to keep you fueled throughout the day (extra fee). Big Daddy will have hot dogs, veggie dogs, sausages, and fries. B. Good is offering shakes and smoothies. Thanks to our friends at J.P. Licks there will be ice cream, starting at 1:30 p.m (free). And, we can’t forget about our amazing bake sale! Stop by the Think Tank for cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and more, along with mini burritos from Boloco (extra fee).
Master craftsman Nancy Fresella-Lee is back! Nancy and her team will be teaching students the art of bookbinding. This workshop is $25 and you can sign up by the used book tent in the parking lot. Times follow the author reading schedule below.
